#84: Tom Cronin: The Power and Benefits of Meditation – Your Dream Life Podcast

As someone who loves meditating and truly believes in the power of daily meditation, Kristina was so excited to speak with this week’s inspiring guest. Tom Cronin is an incredible coach, meditation teacher, author, speaker and co-creator of The Portal movie and book – who is leading a global movement to inspire one billion people to meditate daily!

Tom was a finance broker for most of his life and had very little idea what his purpose or calling was. He was stressed, anxious, depressed, suffering panic attacks and severe insomnia. At just 29, he reached breaking point and was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with a nervous breakdown.

It was during this dark time that Tom discovered meditation and began his journey into Eastern philosophy, eventually changing his life’s direction completely, becoming a meditation teacher and transformation coach with a passion for helping others discover the magic of meditation.

This episode, Kristina speaks with the wonderful Leah Simmons, founder of the KAAIAA training program – a transformational practice that trains the 4 Pillars of Health – Mental, Physical, Emotional & Spiritual. A certified Pilates instructor, personal trainer and kundalini yoga teacher, Leah has a passion for all things health and fitness and has dedicated over 14 years to helping people transform their bodies (including her own).

But she soon realised that just training the body wasn’t enough to make her truly happy. Leah found that the more she focused on the physical in her life, the more disconnected she was becoming from herself and who she really was. Which sparked her to really think about what it means to be healthy and truly ‘fit’.

#81: Mid-Year Check In & Refocus on Your Dreams with Kristina Karlsson – Your Dream Life Podcast

Do you feel like the year is flying by? Us too! Incredibly, at the time of recording this week’s episode, we are very fast approaching the halfway mark of 2021. Which is why Kristina takes a moment to ask us all to reset, check in with where we are and how we’re feeling, as well as the progress we’ve made toward our dreams this year.

If you feel that perhaps you haven’t achieved what you had set out to this year so far, that’s okay. The world has been through some unprecedented and unexpected changes lately and there are always things that can pop up and get in the way of our plans – we’re human and life happens. Don’t be hard on yourself. What’s important is to check in with yourself now so you can get back on track and set yourself up for a productive second half of the year.
