Hong Kong has always been one of my favourite cities. Between the amazing shopping and beautiful food, there are always so many great new experiences to enjoy. To celebrate the launch of our very first Hong Kong store, I thought I’d share some of my travel favourites. From gorgeous bakeries to stylish boutiques, these are my must-visit locations for any trip to Hong Kong.
Ping Pong 129 Gintoneriá
I love the way east meets west in this gorgeous Spanish gin cocktail bar. Hidden behind a small, red door, this popular bar has been built in a repurposed ping pong hall and has a gorgeous Mediterranean inspired design while still keeping some of the original industrial features. The large open interiors are a beautiful blend of classic Hong Kong style with a European twist.
Petit Bazaar
When I’m shopping with the kids, we always make sure to stop into Petit Bazaar, which has a gorgeous selection of clothes, toys and homewares for little ones. The owner is French entrepreneur Marguess Sousi, who wanted to bring a taste of her native style to her new home. I could spend hours exploring the handmade toys, pretty gifts and beautiful European clothing.
The Peak
Hong Kong has such amazing energy and there’s always so much to see, but sometimes I love to take a quiet moment. When I have a spare afternoon, I always make sure to head up to the mountains around Hong Kong to see the city from above. There’s a gorgeous tram that takes you up past the city’s skyscrapers to see the breath-taking views at the top.
Po’s Atelier – bakery
In the gorgeous neighbourhood of Sheung Wan lies one of Hong Kong’s best bakeries. This stylish space is run by famed Japanese baker and chef Masami Asano and offers up delicious French-Japanese treats that have people lining up out of the door. I love grabbing one of their croissants for a special breakfast treat.
Lock Cha – tea house
It’s no secret that I love tea and this sweet traditional Chinese tea house serves up over 100 varieties, so I’m always spoilt for choice. I love sitting down and enjoying a beautiful tea ritual, or if I’m in a hurry I might pop into their adjoining shop and choose something to brew at home in my favourite Svenska Hem Teapot.
Harbour City
There are few places in the world that can beat Harbour City for shopping. From high end designers to cute little boutiques, you could shop all day and not have seen it all. That’s why I’m so thrilled that we’ve opened our first Hong Kong store in this fantastic mall. You can find us on Level 4, Ocean Centre, Harbour City. Be sure to stroll along the gorgeous harbour outside when you’re done for fantastic views out onto the river.
