Kristina’s Guide to London

London is one of my favourite cities in the world. From the culture to the shopping, there’s always something new to discover each time I visit and I could just spend days taking every little thing in.  That’s why I’m so excited to be opening the first UK kikki.K store in Covent Garden. To celebrate the launch, I wanted to share a few of my favourite places in London. They’re a must-have for any trip to the city!

The V&A Museum

London is such a great place to visit for design inspiration. From the Tate Modern to the White Cube gallery, there are some of the most exciting art works and exhibitions in the world. If I absolutely had to pick a favourite, the Victoria & Albert museum in Brompton is always on my list. The beautiful fashion and textile archives are guaranteed to spark your creativity and I always leave brimming with new ideas and inspirations.

Dover St Market

Stepping into this beautiful concept store is always such an incredible experience. From the windows to the carefully curated selection of established and up-and-coming designers, this is definitely one of my favourite shopping destinations in London. It’s a great place to discover new trends and designers.

Nopi

This Soho outpost of the Ottolenghi group is my go-to spot for a quick and healthy lunch. They serve up a delicious selection of Middle-Eastern inspired seasonal salads and fresh juices that you can choose to sit and eat in or take on-the-go. Their beautiful cakes and desserts are also perfect if I’m in the mood for a sweet treat.

The Chiltern Firehouse

One of my favourite dinner spots in London, this popular restaurant is located in a former Victorian firehouse. The beautiful high ceilings, exposed brickwork and original features are beautifully matched with modern, minimalist interiors. They serve up a delicious menu of seasonal dishes with a New York feel, or you can just sit and people-watch in their stylish bar.

Selfridges

This London landmark is truly like stepping into another world and no shopping trip to London is complete without a visit. From interactive window displays to fun pop up experiences and even temporary exhibitions, there’s always a surprise around every corner. I could spend hours browsing their beautiful mix of fashion, cosmetics and luxury goods, not to mention the biggest shoe department in the world. Their huge Food Hall is also well worth a visit, with every single delicacy you could imagine!
