I’m a firm believer that if we truly believe in ourselves, nothing can hold us back. That’s why I’m so excited to see the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is Press For Progress. I want to see 2018 be the year that even more women decide to challenge stereotypes, advocate for change and come together as part of this inspiring global movement.
Having a support network of strong, fearless women has helped me so much in my own journey; from starting kikki.K in my home office to opening stores in my favourite cities all over the world. There have been many times where my mentors and friends have brought a fresh perspective to challenges I’ve faced and helped me embrace creative problem-solving.
Being able to turn to others for advice and support without judgement is key to achieving our goals. That’s why I’m so excited to be bringing some of my favourite inspiring women together this International Women’s Day for our round-table discussion, broadcast live on Facebook.
I’ll be joined by Sarah Holloway, owner of Matcha Maiden, Lucy Feagins, Editor of The Design Files, Dr Libby Weaver, Aimee Marks, founder of TOM Organic and Olympic athlete Alisa Camplin. We’ll each be giving our thoughts on how women can push for change, how we’ve overcome individual challenges in our own lives and some of the lessons we’ve learnt along the way. Of course, I’m a huge advocate for finding balance in all areas of life, so we’ll also be discussing what ‘living your best life every day’ means to each of us.
I hope our discussion will spark your inspiration and give you a little reminder that, yes, you can achieve whatever goals you’ve set yourself. I hope it also inspires you to reach out to mentors of your own –setting up a support group that will be invaluable in the years to come. When you surround yourself with people who inspire you and open yourself to new lessons, experiences and personal development opportunities, the sky really is the limit.
So let me finish by saying Happy International Women’s Day to kikki.K lovers all over the world. Whatever you’re dreaming of right now and however you plan to achieve those dreams, I hope you take a moment to recognise your successes so far and really believe in your ability to build an incredible future. After all, it takes a lot of courage to dream big and make it happen.
P.S. Don’t forget to enter my mentorship competition. I’ll be giving one inspiring kikki.K lover a mentorship session, as well as everything you need to set up your home office in style. Look out for a special Instagram post on International Women’s Day to enter.
