I truly believe that when you dream big, anything is possible. I grew up on a small farm in Sweden, dreaming of one day travelling the world and doing something truly meaningful. I followed my heart to a new country but I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. One morning at 3am, I was struggling with my ideas when my partner Paul turned on the light, took out a pen and paper, and encouraged me to write down what was important to me. The act of putting my ideas down on paper helped me identify where I wanted to go and was the first step in the kikki.K journey.
That’s why I’m so excited to present our new Inspiration Collection, which is full of tools to help you dream and set goals. Creating this collection has been quite a journey for us. Some time ago we challenged ourselves to think deeply about what our purpose is in the world. Why does kikki.K exist? Why should we deserve to exist in 100 years’ time? What value do we bring, and will continue to bring, to the world?
The answer, which took us some time to distil, was actually very simple. We exist to inspire and empower people the world over to dream, do, enjoy and share – in the process of living their best life.
But what does dream, do, enjoy, share mean?
To me, each of these words are inter-related. They work together to help you to stay inspired, achieve your dreams and love every moment.
DREAM: Everything starts with a dream. If we visualise something, we can make it happen so it’s important to dream big, dream without limitations and dream as if anything is possible.
DO: Having a dream isn’t enough, you have to turn your ideas into actions. These can be big steps or little everyday habits that help you start living your dream life.
EJOY: Enjoying the little things gives you more energy to achieve the things you want to DO. How often do you stop and just live in the moment? Be inspired to love more, read more, travel the world, meditate, be grateful and make more time for the things that bring you happiness.
SHARE: You have the power to make a difference to those around you. Spread kindness and support the people you love. Express your gratitude and embrace the people in your life that uplift you and help you DREAM.
These four words have been an integral part of me achieving my dream to bring Swedish design to the world through kikki.K. That’s why I’m so excited to present our new Dream, Do, Enjoy, Share book series. Then the rest of the collection is perfect for helping you to put your learnings into place dreams and make your dreams a reality.
