This International Women’s Day (8 March), we invite everyone to celebrate equality with us at kikki.K, remembering that an equal world is an enabled world. Let’s all be #eachforequal today, and every day!
The first International Women’s Day gathering in 1911 was supported by over a million people, and today, it belongs to all groups collectively, everywhere. One of the things we are doing at kikki.K to celebrate women, and to mark this important day, was to ask some of the team at kikki.K HQ to share what being #eachforequal means to them.
Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions, but it’s important to understand that our actions, conversations and mindsets can have an impact on our larger society. Collectively, we can make change happen and each one of us can help create a more equal world.
“As the father of a daughter, the son of a mother, the partner of a wonderful woman and as just another member of the human race, #eachforequal is important to me because …why wouldn’t it be?” Paul, Co-Founder/CEO
“#eachforequal is important to me because it means celebrating the women in my life – the leaders who taught me everything I know about business and retail.” Dan, Guest Support Manager
“An #eachforequal world is important to me as there is so much power in dreaming, and more equality means more dreams are accessible and achievable for all!” Kristina, Founder
“To me, #eachforequal means everyone has a role to play in creating true gender equality.” Taylor, Product Coordinator
“An #eachforequal world to me means an enabled and accessible world for all.” Ewan, Product Manager”
“#eachforequal is important to me because it strives towards young girls growing up knowing they will be respected, valued members of society.” Ali, Retail Operations Manager
Why not take a moment now to consider what #eachforequal means for you? Remember, when things change inside you, things change around you. So let’s all be #eachforequal today, and always.
