Making a real change means making a change every day. After all, it’s those little everyday actions we take towards a better life that really matter most. So if you’re making some New Year’s Resolutions this year, why not take some time to think about how you’re going to incorporate them into your life all year round?
Get creative, then define your goals
First up, it’s time to let your creativity flow and think of all the fun and incredible things you’d like to achieve. Using a notebook or our New Year’s Resolutions Booklet, spend some time putting pen to paper and writing down all of your ideas. Don’t limit yourself or think of practical considerations at this stage, just write whatever comes to mind. Next, pause and think about which ones are most important and achievable in 2016, setting 1 or 2 goals for different areas of your life including work, travel and personal relationships. Now you’ll know exactly what you’re working towards and having them written down will give you real motivation to get started.
Make them a part of your life
Now that you have a clear picture of what you’re working towards, the next step is to weave these goals into your everyday life so you stay motivated and inspired. Whether you choose to set up a gorgeous Vision Board where you can pin up ideas and inspiring images, or simply write your goals down somewhere you’ll see them each day, it’s so important to ensure that they always stay fresh in your mind.
Track your progress
Often it’s hard to see exactly how far we’ve come. That’s why we love the idea of writing down your progress as you go so you can really measure and evaluate your journey. Whether you choose a Food and Exercise Journal or a Weekly Habits Pad, putting pen to paper each day will soon become an important part of your routine and you’ll love seeing how much closer you get to your goals each day.
