The perfect workspace can inspire us to achieve our dreams, help us to enjoy the little moments and simply make us happy. We truly believe that having the right tools is the first step to achieving our goals. It can also help us to work productively by allowing us to systemise our daily working routine and bring a calm order that we all love.
Here are some of our favourite tips to set up your perfect desk.
1. Make your desk work for you
Start out by mapping your responsibilities, priorities and daily routine. It can help to write these down first. Then ensure that you have the right organisation tools that work for you. Keep a different notebook (or section in your planner) for different areas of your life so you know exactly where important information is written down.
2. Get rid of excess paperwork
How often do you really access all those files on your desk? Put aside an hour or so and cut out anything that you don’t absolutely need. Then use Folders to store the documents that you do regularly need to reference. Be sure to put a logical filing system in place, labelling everything.
3. Create a Vision Board
It’s so important to have a clear vision of where you’re going, with both long and short term goals. We love adding these to a Vision Board in our work space. It’s a great motivating reminder to keep going and to believe in your dreams.
4. Enjoy the little moments
Our daily lives are made up of little moments and it’s important to pause and appreciate them. Foster more happiness in your work space by adding little details that make you happy – for example a gorgeous Quote Card that makes you smile each time you see it.
5. Inspire healthy habits
Finally, we love adding little elements to encourage us to stick to our healthy habits no matter how busy we get. Add a Habits Tracker, or keep a Glass Water Bottle to remind you to drink more water – whatever helps you to live the life you want to live each day!
