God Jul! (Swedish for ‘Merry Christmas’)
Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year. There’s something about the rituals and traditions of the season that feels so special to me. I love spending time at home in Sweden with my family. From driving to pick out a tree to baking pepparkakor, there are so many opportunities to spend time together and create unforgettable memories.
One thing that’s so important to me is being able to give back to others over the festive season. After all, it’s our shared experiences and memories that make Christmas so special. That’s why I always look for opportunities to express my gratitude and share a feeling of joy. This could be as simple as writing a heartfelt card to someone I haven’t seen in a while. One of the activities I really look forward to each year is sitting down to write cards – being sure to light candles, play Christmas music and even enjoy a glass of Swedish Glögg.
No matter who you are or what your circumstances, you can always benefit from the feeling of joy, and Christmas is the perfect time for this. Whether it’s the joy of decorating the home, the joy of finding the perfect gift or the joy of making moments with your loved ones, there’s something about the joy of Christmas that’s unlike our experience at any other time of the year.
