If you’re anything like me, you love nothing better than relaxing with a calming cup of tea. Taking 10 minutes out of your day to enjoy the ritual of making a cup of herbal tea, or even creating your own custom blend, is a great way to de-stress and refocus. One of my favourite things to do is to light a candle, sit down with a notebook and enjoy using my Svenska Hem Teapot and Teacup set. That’s why I wanted to share the benefits of my new favourite tea recipe – fresh lemon and ginger.

How to make…

It’s so easy to create this fresh, delicious tea. Simply peel 2 slices of ginger and add them to your tea pot. Next squeeze in about a quarter of a lemon. I don’t actually add the lemon slices to avoid any chemicals or additives from the outside of the lemon. Finally, add boiling water and leave to sit with the lid on for several minutes while the tea infuses with all that healthy goodness.

Why it’s great for you…

Whether you’ve got a cold or feeling a little under the weather, brewing tea from lemon and fresh ginger has so many great benefits for your health and wellbeing. The vitamins and antioxidants in lemon and ginger help to revive and nourish your body. As a source of vitamin C, lemon has healing benefits including for your skin and hair, while ginger is great for adding some heat if you’re suffering from a cold. Lemon and ginger can also aid your digestion and metabolism. Why not start each day with a cup before breakfast to cleanse your system and prepare you for the busy day ahead?
