Our new Mum’s Story Book is perfect for finding out more about your mum. With prompts, questions and spaces for photos, she’ll love filling it out to create a keepsake the whole family will treasure. To celebrate the release of this stylish new book, we decided to ask some of our favourite style influencers to share how they’re using theirs in time for Mother’s Day. To start us off Melbourne stylist Cindy Chen shows us how she’s been filling out hers to store memories for her beautiful new son Oliver.
What’s your favourite thing you’ve learnt about being a mum from filling out the book?
While filling out the book, I felt for the first time in my life that I am ‘living’ and not just ‘existing’. Oliver has enhanced my life in so many ways that I would have never imagined. Oliver is 5 months old and while I have enjoyed filling out the book so far, it has also made me realise that the future holds so much more!
What’s the most important thing being a mum has taught you?
Nothing quite prepares you for the spectrum of emotions that comes with motherhood and embracing the good and the bad has taught me that with a little patience and understanding, I am rewarded with vast amounts of joy. Motherhood is my life, my passion and my greatest achievement.
What’s your favourite “moment with mum”?
Oliver’s bedtime is my favourite time of the day because it has become a thing we all do together as a family. My husband bathes him and dresses him for bed. I nurse him. Then we take turns reading him his favourite book. This has been our routine with him ever since he was born and it has become a very special part of the day for me.
